Towards a Brighter Tomorrow

JAC Group is taking its social responsibilities seriously and is an active supporter of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We play our role to improve the environment, the well-being of our people and the future success of the regions in which we operate.

Our Reforestation Work

PPP (One Placement Creates One Plant to Save the Planet)

Since 2008, the JAC PPP project, known as 'One Placement creates one Plant to save the Planet', has been conducting tree planting activities in Southeast Asia.

A Reminder of the Role We Play in So Many Lives

Working with the NPO Asian Green Forest Network in Bali, and the Japan Malaysia Association in Borneo, our PPP initiative means that we are actively helping with the greening of local communities. We are also boosting employment in those areas and contributing to several key SDGs.

Additionally, these activities serve to remind us of the role we play in so many professionals’ careers and in so many organisations. This encourages us to stay focused on our mission – to provide opportunities for individuals and businesses to grow and thrive.

Actions for Our Future

The PPP project was initiated to help combat the impact of global warming and the effects of deforestation through illegal logging in some of the countries where JAC Group operates. Describing the program, our Co-Founder, Chairman, CEO and Managing Director, Hiromi Tazaki states: “The initiative encourages JAC Group employees and local residents to participate in and foster awareness around the importance of tree planting. It is paramount that we all collectively contribute to the ongoing environmental conservation of our planet.”

JAC Group is committed to the continuation of our PPP program. It supports the planet and local economies – and reminds us of the hope we have for the employees we place and the companies they work for.

JAC Moringa Forest

JAC Moringa Forest Forestation Project Logo

The Group launched a reforestation initiative through Moringa plantations in June 2024 to further absorb CO2, conserve the local ecosystem and benefit the local population.

New Project "JAC Moringa Forest"

Moringa trees grow very fast, sometimes more than 3m in a year. This rapid growth means that they have the capacity to absorb large amounts of carbon dioxide, making a significant contribution to reducing greenhouse gases. A Moringa tree absorbs about 110-160kg of carbon dioxide per year, which is about 14-20 times more than a typical cedar tree, making it very effective in mitigating climate change.

Planting activities require the cooperation of local people, which also creates and supports local employment. It promotes sustainable land use and brings both environmental and economic benefits.

Working to Build a Sustainable World and Society
Fostering awareness through the JAC Environmental & Animal Protection Foundation

Since 2008 JAC Group has been engaged in overseas afforestation activities in Southeast Asia. In March 2022, Hiromi Tazaki established the charitable JAC Environmental & Animal Protection Foundation whose purpose is to ensure the conservation of the natural environment and the protection of animal life in Japan (recognised as a Public Interest Incorporated Foundation in February 2023).

At the JAC Group we help the growth of people, businesses, the economy, and society, while contributing to environmental conservation on a global scale, carrying out conservation activities, and raising awareness. We are proud to support the work of this foundation. The JAC Environmental & Animal Protection Foundation Homepage (In Japanese only)
